ASHA 305 REVIEW

The Asha 305 is the foremost of Nokia's economy range of smartphones. The phone being Nokia's first attempt at combining economy and smartness doesn't really impress you but the battery backup which has always been Nokia's forte is a clincher. The phone looks good with a different design altogether. However the body which looks metallic has a cheap plastic feel. The touch being resistive squeezes the joy of having 40 free games. The best part about this phone is that you can download songs really fast.(Only from OVI store).
The music player is the best in class being both loud and clear.the Symbian OS is as usual a pain in the neck being more prone to viruses and it has these ocassional mood swings wherein it just gets stuck for no reason. The easy slider makes its debut in the Asha series.

THE UPSIDE :

The phone is economic and user friendly. It is easy to hold and doesn't look cheap. It has a dual SIM option which is also a bonus feature.Sharing files via Bluetooth is no longer a problem due to the easy slider and yes the Bluetooth is also faster than most other smartphones.Due to its unique shape you can hold the phone comfortably and since the memory card and SIM 2 panels are outside you could easily swap them.Songs from OVI store get downloaded really fast.Music quality battery,back-up and download speed are the best things about this phone

THE DOWNSIDE :

The phone being economic is this phone's USP and compromising on quality is how it achieves it.The body feels like a cheap plastic box.The screen is resistive and negates all joy of having a touch phone just as with the C-series of phones you have to double tap or long press an option to access it.The screen is also more prone to scratches and the side panels should not be open and closed frequently because they suddenly develop this popping habit wherein the panel opens up without warning. You can't download apps or music from other sources when compared to downloading from the OVI store.the screen is also delicate so no water, excess pressure and dirty hands :P

Thus said i rate this phone 2 on a scale of 1-5

BLACKBERRY Z10 REVIEW

Though it has woken up late Blackberry has sure made up for lost time with the Z10.It has broken from tradition and made a phone with a large screen and a different OS. If you think dual-core Krait is old news on Android, you'd be right, but the Z10 is closer to the iPhone in this regard - the OS has been optimized to run on very few devices (just one right now, one more on the way) :P allowing for maximum efficiency. Then BlackBerry equipped the Z10 with a 4.2" WXGA screen - slightly bigger and sharper than the iPhone 5's retina display - but kept the package more compact than certain massive droids. Then came all the connectivity features, hardware ports and slots. The Upside : Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, tri/quad-band UMTS/HSPA, optional 100 Mbps LTE  4.2" 16M-color WXGA (768 x 1280 pixels) capacitive touchscreen TFT  Dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait, 2GB RAM, Adreno 225  BlackBerry 10 OS; advanced on-screen keyboard; Office document editor  BlackBe

Samsung GT-S5300 review

THE UPSIDE: The GT-S5300 is one of those smartphones designed to cater for the needs of the aam-aadmi.The best part about this mobile is its cost-effectiveness be it the piece as a whole or individual components seperately. It has many  features which are enticing firstly it is an affordable smartphone with a simple user interface. It also has 3 GB of internal memory which would satisfy the memory needs for a person on an average. It has an 832 mHz processor which works pretty fast.the voice control facilty is also a very dependable and useful option combine that with the google maps navigation and boom! instant travel guide.the presence of Wi-Fi, bluetooth and GPRS functions ensure that you can always stay connected. the touch screen is also far better than that of the competitors in its segment.the screen resolution is also good.Fancy widgets like weather,International clocks which are a staple part of high-end phones are also present in this.Being an android phone this offers y
